Hot Turkey in an Oven Bag

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place hot puffed cheese sticks in a food processor and process until fully crushed. You can also add to a zip top bag and roll with a rolling pin until sticks are completely crushed.

3. Brush oil or butter on turkey and coat with the crushed chips.

4. Add 1 tsp of flour to the Reynolds® Oven Bag and place in a large roasting pan that is at least 2 inches deep

5. Carefully slide turkey into the oven bag, making sure the opening of the bag is facing the end of the roasting pan, and not facing up. The bag should be inside the pan, not hanging over the edges of the pan.

6. Close oven bag with the included nylon tie, and cut six 1/2 inch slits in the top of the bag

7. Cook turkey till it reaches 165°F in several places. Remove from oven and let stand in oven bag for 15 minutes or until cool enough to handle.

8. Cut open the top of the bag. Carefully lift turkey from bag and place in a large baking dish or pan with at least 2” sides. Return turkey to oven for 15 to 20 minutes to crisp the coating.

Ranch Flavored, Foil-Wrapped Turkey

1. Preheat oven at 325 degrees.

2. Place ranch-flavored corn chips in a food processor and process until fully crushed. You can also add to a zip top bag and roll with a rolling pin until chips are completely crushed.

3. Brush oil or butter on turkey and coat with the crushed chips.

4. Tear off a sheet of Reynolds Wrap® Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil 2 1/2 times longer than turkey. Place turkey lengthwise in center of foil sheet.

5. Close foil loosely by overlapping the ends. Turn up short sides of foil to hold in juices. Do not seal airtight. Place foil wrapped turkey in roasting pan at least 2 inches deep. Insert meat thermometer through foil into thickest part of inner thigh, not touching bone.

6. Roast turkey until meat thermometer reads 180°F. For approximate roasting times, see chart above. For stuffed turkey, add 30 minutes to roasting time. To brown turkey, open and turn back foil 30 minutes before roasting is finished. For easy slicing, cover turkey with foil and let stand 15 minutes.

Onion Flavored, Foil-Tented Turkey

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

2. Place onion-flavored rings in a food processor and process until fully crushed. You can also add to a zip top bag and roll with a rolling pin until rings are completely crushed.

4. Make a foil tent by placing a sheet of foil over turkey, leaving 1 inch between top of turkey and foil tent for heat circulation. Crimp foil onto long sides of pan.

5. Roast turkey until meat thermometer inserted in thickness part of the thigh not touching the bone reads 180°F. For approximate roasting times see chart. For stuffed turkey, add 30 minutes to roasting time. To brown turkey, remove foil tent after 1 hour of roasting. For easy slicing, cover turkey with foil and let stand 15 minutes.
