                As the temperature drops, soup becomes the ultimate dish. Not only is it the ideal comfort food, but it’s also a great way to turn any produce or leftover items in your pantry into something delicious.
Below is a quick guide on how to perfect your soup making in the slow cooker, no matter what ingredients you have to work with. Remember to also use a Reynolds® Slow Cooker Liner to avoid messy cleanups.

            MAKE A BASE BROTH:
Start with chicken or vegetable stock, and add chopped carrots, celery and onions.
FLAVOR IT:
Add in your favorite flavors to the base to make a rich, intense broth.
- Make it fresh: Add lemongrass and ginger
 - Make it spicy: Add cayenne and hot peppers
 - Make it hearty: Add chopped potatoes or beans
 
COOK ON LOW:
For 3-4 hours to let the flavors intermingle
            
          PERSONALIZE IT:
Add leftover product or cooked proteins 1 hour before serving, such as:
- Rice or noodles
 - Chopped vegetables
 - Shredded chicken, beef or sausage
 
TOP IT:
Add delicate and cold ingredients immediately before serving, such as:
