Ingredients

  • 1 package (18.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 container (16 oz.) ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
  • 24 vanilla wafers
  • 48 mini vanilla wafers
  • 48 brown mini candy-coated chocolate candies
  • Black decorator icing
  • Red decorator icing

Directions

Step 1

PREHEAT oven to 350°F.

Step 2

PLACE 24 Reynolds® StayBrite® Baking Cups in muffin pans; set aside.

Step 3

PREPARE cake mix following package directions for 24 cupcakes. Spoon batter into baking cups.

Step 4

BAKE following package directions (17 to 23 minutes). Cool.

Step 5

SPREAD frosting onto cupcakes making sure to save 1/4 cup for decorations; set aside.

Step 6

Frost the top third of one vanilla wafer and place on top of cupcake.

Step 7

Place mini vanilla wafers in the top corners of the cupcake under the vanilla wafer that is going to be the monkey face. These will serve as ears and prop up the face to give it more dimension.

Step 8

Make eyes by placing 2 mini candy-coated chocolate candies on frosted part of vanilla wafer.

Step 9

Use black decorator icing to make a dot in center of candies for pupils of eyes and two dots in the center of the vanilla wafer for the nose.

Step 10

Use red decorator icing to draw a mouth
