When cooked without the liner, the cocoa pan or slow cooker bowl might require soaking or scrubbing. With a slow cooker liner, you just let the slow cooker cool, lift the empty liner out of the bowl, and toss.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups reduced-fat (2%) milk
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate pieces
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso coffee powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Disposable slow cooker liner

Directions

Step 1

Place the disposable slow cooker liner inside a 3-1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker bowl. Fit liner snugly against the bottom and sides; pull top of liner over rim of bowl. Combine milk, chocolate pieces, coffee powder, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; add to slow cooker.

Step 2

Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 4 hours, whisking vigorously once halfway through cooking time. Whisk well before serving. If desired, sprinkle each serving with cinnamon. Makes 12 servings.
