  • 1 3/4 cups Pillsbury BEST® all-purpose flour 
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar 
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/2 cup shortening 
  • 1/2 cup Jif® creamy peanut butter 
  • 2 tablespoons milk 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar 
  • 48 Hershey's® Kisses® milk chocolates, unwrapped 


Step 1

Heat oven to °F. In large bowl, beat flour, / cup granulated sugar, the brown sugar, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg with electric mixer on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally, until stiff dough forms.

Step 2

Place / cup granulated sugar in small bowl. Shape dough into inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. On cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, place balls inches apart.

Step 3

Bake to minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with chocolate candy, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
