Reynolds Kitchens® Tips

Reynolds Kitchens Tip

If you're using a 3-8 quart round or oval slow cooker, use the regular size Reynolds KITCHENS® Slow Cooker Liner and the recipe below as-is. If you're using a 1-3 quart round or oval slow cooker, use the small size Reynolds KITCHENS® Slow Cooker Liner and use half of each ingredient.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups thinly sliced yellow onion (from 1 large (1 lb.) onion)
  • 1-1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. yellow mustard or spicy brown mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1-1/2 lb. thinly sliced deli ham, roughly torn
  • 10 hamburger buns, split and toasted
  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 Tbsp. dill or sweet pickle relish
  • Reynolds KITCHENS® Slow Cooker Liners

Directions

Step 1

Line a 4-quart slow cooker with a Regular size Reynolds KITCHENS™ Slow Cooker Liner. Fit liner snugly against the bottom and sides of bowl; pull top of liner over rim of bowl.

Step 2

Stir together onion, ketchup, water, sugar, mustard, Worcestershire, vinegar, and pepper in slow cooker until blended. Stir in ham. Cover and cook on LOW until onions are tender, about 4 hours. Stir gently using a wooden or plastic utensil. Serve directly from lined slow cooker.

Step 3

Place 1/2 cup chipped ham on bottom half of each hamburger bun. Top each sandwich with 1 tablespoon relish and top half of bun.
