Holiday Shape and Christmas Tree Brownies

The holidays are perhaps the best time of year for baking. In addition to treats that taste great, part of the fun is dressing up your baked goods in a variety of fun and festive shapes. Try whipping up a batch of Christmas tree, snowman or gingerbread man shaped brownies to add a special seasonal touch. Best of all, making them in a Reynolds® Bakeware Pan means it's easy to share and transport your goodies without having to worry about a mess to clean up afterwards.

PREHEAT the oven to 350°.

ADD the butter and chocolate chips to a medium sized metal bowl and put it over a pot of simmering water to create a double boiler. Continually stir with a rubber spatula.

WHISK together in a separate large bowl the eggs, brown sugar, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, vanilla and baking powder.

COOL the chocolate at room temperature for 10 minutes and then fold it into the eggs and sugar mixture until completely combined.

POUR the batter into a Reynolds® Bakeware 8x8 Pan and bake in the oven on 350° for 35 minutes or until the brownies begin to pull away from the outside of the pan.

ADD the chopped candy canes to the top of the brownies with 10 minutes left in the cooking process.

COOL before forming.

REMOVE the brownies from the pan and cut holiday shapes using holiday shaped cookie cutters.

DECORATE with icings and assorted colored chocolate candies.
