Ham and Fruit Strata

Pears add a sweet note to this make-ahead ham and cheese breakfast casserole. Reynolds® Bakeware simplifies life when you need to bake and take a food. Using Reynolds® Bakeware, assemble and refrigerate the strata the day before a family brunch or holiday breakfast. Then bake it that morning to transport it to breakfast or brunch. - 2 1/2 cubed firm-textured bread (about 3-1/2 slices)
- 4 ounces cubed fully cooked ham (3/4 cup)
- 1 8-ounce can pear halves or slices (juice pack), drained and chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
- 3 slightly beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 skim milk
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Reynolds® Bakeware
In a Reynolds® Bakeware 8x8-inch pan layer bread, ham, chopped pears, and shredded cheese.
Combine eggs, milk, and nutmeg, and pour evenly into dish. Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.
Bake, uncovered, in a 325 degree F oven about 45 minutes or until center is just set and top is golden. Cool 10 minutes before cutting into squares. Garnish with additional pear slices, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
