Easy BBQ Beef Sandwich Recipe

With this special slow cooker BBQ sandwich recipe, there’s no need to fire up the grill. Just get the right ingredients together in your slow cooker and enjoy this delicious barbecue meal from your very own kitchen. And the best part of making this BBQ dish is that using a Reynolds® Slow Cooker liner means you won’t have a mess to clean up.

To keep shredded barbecue beef warm for a gathering, line your slow cooker bowl with a clean Slow Cooker Liner and place shredded beef in it. Cover with lid and set slow cooker to ‘Keep Warm’ so beef is hot and ready when you’re ready to eat.
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 to 3 1/2 lb chuck or bottom round beef roast
- 1 tablespoon each garlic powder and onion powder (optional)
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup zesty steak sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 10 to 12 sandwich buns
- Sliced red onion, Cole slaw, dill pickles and carrot sticks (optional)
- Reynolds® Slow Cooker Liner
OPEN slow cooker liner and place it inside of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker bowl. Fit liner snugly against the bottom and sides of bowl; pull top of liner over rim of bowl.
PLACE onions evenly in liner. Place beef on top of onions. SPRINKLE beef with garlic powder and onion powder, if desired. MIX barbecue sauce, steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce; pour evenly over beef. Place lid on slow cooker.
COOK on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or HIGH for 4 to 5 hours until beef is tender.
CAREFULLY remove lid to allow steam to escape. PLACE roast on cooking board and shred with 2 forks, or slice thinly and chop, if you prefer. Stir in additional barbecue sauce, if desired. Serve shredded beef on buns. Add sliced red onion, Cole slaw, dill pickles and carrot sticks, if desired.
REMOVE all food and juices from lined-slow cooker. COOL slow cooker completely. Do not lift or transport liner with food or liquids inside. Remove empty liner and toss.
