This savory breakfast waffle served with sweet honey butter and an optional fried egg is sure to be a hit for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • For the waffle:
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 6 ounces butter, melted
  • 10 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil
  •  
  • For the honey butter:
  • 4 ounces unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 6 eggs (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Whisk together flour, baking powder and sugar in a large bowl. Add eggs, milk and butter. Whisk until a thick batter has formed. Stir in the bacon and blue cheese.

Step 2

Preheat waffle iron. Pour 1 heaping cup of batter into the waffle iron and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until desired browning is reached. Repeat with remaining batter.

Step 3

Make honey butter. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Using a rubber spatula, fold the mixture until fully combined.

Step 4

Fry eggs in a skillet until egg whites are fully cooked and yolk is still runny.

Step 5

Serve waffles with a dollop of honey butter and a fried egg on top.
