Grilled Fruit Skewers

Hey there! It's our favorite time of year - summer vacation! We always get our families together for backyard time, swimming and grilling; and we LOVE this recipe for Grilled Fruit Skewers that we discovered last year.

This is a super easy recipe, it's kid-friendly and it's such a fun way to serve-up fruit! We have even made it easier by lining our grill with Reynolds Wrap® Foil for the grill!

The Recipe

Fruit Skewers:

  • Angel Food cake cut into 2-inch cubes
  • Strawberries cleaned and hulled
  • Pineapple cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1/3 cup of dark chocolate chips

Honey-Lime Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1/2 of a lime with juice and zest

Directions:

Thread a strawberry, pineapple and cake on a skewer, repeating two more times per skewer. Heat the honey and lime juice in the microwave for 30-seconds and brush on each skewer. Line the foil on the grill, dull side facing the food and punch holes all over to allow the juices to drip through. Cook on low, turning the skewers to evenly brown all of the sides. Once they are browned, remove them from the grill. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, for 45-seconds, and drizzle the melted chocolate on the fruit skewers. Serve and enjoy some yourself!
